Welcome to the new Website!

Dear colleagues,

The joint initiative Coalition for Green Energy and Storage (CGES) of ETH Zurich, EPFL, Empa and PSI is gaining momentum. Today we are pleased to announce the launch of the CGES website, following the establishment of the association last December.

At the heart of the initiative are five catapult projects based on existing technologies. The aim of CGES is to bring together stakeholders from companies, associations, academia, and public entities to create a platform for exchange in order to accelerate the transition to green energy in Switzerland. CGES operates as a non-profit organization with a Board of Directors, a Management Team and a Science and Technology Committee.

It is important for us to provide you with first-hand information about the initiative and its activities. We therefore cordially invite you to explore the website at www.cges.ch or directly through the menu on the top. More information about CGES will follow in your organization. Please do not hesitate to contact members of the Management Team or of the Science & Technology Committee for further information.

We have been reaching out to donors, the industry and the federal and cantonal governments to become members of CGES and are now intensifying those efforts as we can also direct potential members to the website. Please encourage interested parties to visit the website and send a message to the co-directors Robert Giezendanner-Thoben and Christoph Sutter via the contact form under ‘Membership’ or by email to info@cges.ch

We are also planning external communication activities in the coming months. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting joint venture!

Kind regards,

Prof. Joël Mesot (ETH Zurich), Chairman
Prof. Christian Rüegg (PSI), Vice-Chairman
Prof. Anna Fontcuberta i Morral (EPFL), Member of the Board of Directors
